I have been assigned as chief medical officer on the ISS Ares, however before I begin my service on that ship I have been requested to return to the hospital to train my replacement. That is understandable to me. It will however give me time to make good on a promise I made a while back to a little girl, if of course I have the sufficient time.

Encrypted Mission Report: Obsidian One

I am recording this in an encrypted format to preserve the integrity of what I about to be said and done.

I have been selected by a dear friend of mine to investigate a problem she is having with her cranial implants. Our resident telepath identified two Cardassian spies in our ranks. One that she was able to identify as a member of Corp 9 training. It was a surprise to both me and my friend that he was here. It is no one she knows so the thought is that he took his post after she began her assignments.

This person also has the strongest resistance to pain of any agent I've encountered previously. Between her implant degrading and the prospect of a new one, she and I are heading to Cardassia Prime with the spy. We will obtain the needed pieces to repair and update her. The surgeon who put it in will be waiting to make the adjustments the moment we return.

This message will remain encrypted and filed away until this mission is complete. I have loose ends to tie up before we depart.

Ares Personal Change Report:

Due to some poor choices on the part of my previous chief medical officer...I have selected @Fazbrino to replace him. At this time he has been recalled to the planet to assist in training his replacement. He will return to his own sickbay shortly after the first of the year. It is my hope his addition to the crew will prove advantageous for all involved.

On a personal note, the crew and I are planning a surprise party for @LtCmdrDingo and @VSrreen to congratulate them on their new marriage.

Captain's Log Stardate: 50954.42

We have returned from the trip to investigate purple anomaly. As it turns out it was a purple planet called Wexia.   The matriarchal society is lead by Violet Cutebottom ( @HRMPixieQueen ). She is a delightful woman that appears to hold unique talents and abilities. Their home is very much different than ours and the consensus based on this visit is that Wexia will make a delightful place for our people to visit.

Before departing Wexia we left behind a communications buoy so that Wexia can contact us at any time.

On our way home we encountered a borg detector it was towing a ship from the future, which was destroyed in accordance to Lt Cmdr Dingo's traditions. ( @ltcmdrdingo)

It is our hope the research he is doing on additional technology and data he's obtained from the vessel will prove advantageous.

The repairs on the USS Hood's computer core have been succesful. The information within has been exstracted and is now under my care. I will compile the neccisary information and present it to Captain Jenna and First Administrator Annika as soon as possible. As for the other information I will be copying it to my nural net and eraseing the originals within the hour.

Geological and Ecological Survey of planet wexia

The Inhabitants:
The planet itself is a mystery, from its inhabitants to its mineral deposits. Wexia is inhabited by a fairy like people that call themselves "wexians" they have a monarcial system of government in which case they have a queen who leads them and makes decisions. Negative emotions are not practiced by the wexian people which in turn causes the complete abolishment of crime, war, and disagreements. All in all a peaceful planet with a soothing and enjoyable environment.

The Technology:
As for advanced technology there is none that is present to be seen althought the wexian people are technologically advanced to a point. Interplanitary communication is possible and the wexian queen appears to have a form of transporter technology available for her use. No other technology is present at this time upon further investigation I have found no sign of other forms of technology.

The Ecology:
The planet is coverd in a purple mist that has poso-nutronic properties thus makesing sensor penitration from space impossible. The surface is coverd in plantlife that gives off a purpleish glare do to the reflection of the planets sun throught the atmosphere. The atmosphere itself is slightly toxic to non-wexian inhabitants but it appears that a lavender oil created by the inhabitants can serve as an antidote to the the toxicity.

Summary:
All in all a realxing planet with peacful inhabitants. I believe this planet would best serve us as a "vacation and recovery" spot for our colonist and crew other than that the planet has no other tactical qualities.

The War Ship Name

The choice has been made by our colony and friends. The Defiant Class, Borg modified war ship is known as the Ares under the Command of Captain Jenna Nigoya ( @MUJennaNigoya ) and her hand selected team which include: Commander Brent Thompson Executive Officer, Lt Commander Dingo ( @LtCmdrDingo ) Tactical, Ensign Karen Carter Ops and Helm Specialists,  Lt Cal Hundson ( @MUCalHudson ) Helm and navigation, Lt Vorik her Security Officer.

They are currently away from the planet investigating an odd anomaly that our sensors could not penetrate. It appeared to be some kind of a purple mist, but we were unsure so Jenna took Ares out and will be returning with a report tonight.

Tuvok personal log: Stardate 52939.49

Yesterday evening was going to be a relaxing time. After a hard day of work, S'Xon, VSrreen and my daughter Asil decided to spend the night out. We have had some tiring weeks with few moments rest and less fun. VSrreen almost forced us to go out. I mostly did thinking of my daughter. She deserved a friendly and relaxed environment and some fun. We went to the restaurant located in the square. The food is quite good and they have a rich variety of vegetables that are enough even for a Vulcan. We took a table near the windows, so we had a wonderfull sight of the square arcades illuminated by lanterns. It was beautiful even if we still didn't build the superior floor. S'Xon couldn't avoid telling some anecdotes from the old times when both were two carefree youngs seeking for adventure in the Alpha Quadrant. The atmosphere of the place together with the shared friendship, the good food and the anecdotes made the miracle and Asil, for long saddened, seemed happy. VSrreen, as always, didn't made any effort to conceal her feelings and laughed all she could when she felt necessary. We just had got the second dish served when all faded to black. At first we thought it was a problem at the restaurant, but we soon realized it was all dark outside. All the city was in darkness. The first ten minutes, apart from some stifled scream, the people remained calmed, thinking it was going to be fixed in question of some minutes. But as the time passed, people's nerves started to break. Everything worsened when we noticed the chaos outside the restaurant. We saw nothing, except for the reflect of a flashlight from time to time. But even so, we knew the chaos had started to reign outside.
S'Xon excused himself and headed for engineering to learn what was happening. I decided to put my daughter in the safety of our home, so the three of us left the restaurant and tried to remain together despite the mass of people moving everywhere out. We fought as we could to exit the square and soon after we were safe inside the house. I ran upstairs and got some candles and a flashlight. There wasn't light inside the house, as in the rest of the colony, I relied on my knowledge of the house to find my way in the dark. I gave the candles to VSrreen and asked her to stay with Asil at least for some time to calm her. She stayed with her all the night, for which I'm very grateful. I quickly left the house and headed myself for engineering, flashlight at hand. Almost hit Jones as he was crossing the street.  

Chief Jones was in engineering when he noticed an overload warning in the power grid. Before he could do anything, the entire system came down and all turned dark. That's what he told me when I almost ran into him. He wanted to reach the square to trace the problem. Since the square is the center of the city, its basement houses the main power conduits. It was logical to start tracing the problem there. We struggled to enter the place and walked between the north arcades. The nearest acccess panel was located in the northwest corner. We find it without further difficulties. Once open, the panel revealed a dark hole with vertical stairs descending in the most deep darkness. We descended together and finally we set foot on the tunnel that houses the main conduits. Upon my suggestion, Jones configured his tricorder to detect temperature variations. The overloaded conduits had to be really hot, so we found them right away. I helped Jones to open the panel and what we saw confirmed the readings. To our surprise, we discovered the conduits responsible for the overload came from the defensive node. After consulting the plans, Jones came to the conclussion that the problem had emerged from the walls system. We were shocked by the discovery. We made a bypass to recover the grid power, but the problem was worse than just a blackout. I accessed the security logs through my PADD and found out the automatic passive defense system had been activated by one or more intruders. "We can have intruders in the city!" I thought. All the fibers of my body became tense. I was still that way when we returned to the surface and saw the light had returned to the square and its surroundings. Jones returned to engineering to continue working over minor details, while I headed for the security office. I needed to know exactly what had happened and arrange a group of men to locate the possible intruders. 

Two men were before their consoles in the data center. I asked them to gather the datails of the night events. They quickly located the exact segment of the wall that have been responsible for the activation of the holo-emiters and the force field. They also retrieved three visual data streams (video) that made clear what had happened. A native alone -later I learned it was a scout from Kala-, approached our city. We infer he was exploring the area for new hunting zones. The wall detected him and the automatic passive defense system turned the holo-emiters on. The faked hill appeared over our city hiding us from his sight. He continued walking to the point that he was about to set foot over the faked hill. The force field was activated too to allow him to walk over the fake hill. The extra energy required for this, together with the recent growth of the city (300 new people) was enough cause the overload. I continued examining the videos and learned that just after the blackout, the force field lost power and the native fell about two meters. He suddenly was able to see our walls and got terrified by the shock. Immediately he fled. So what could have been a serious security breach, ended into nothing.
Anyway, this event have showed us many things. I have new ideas to improve our security and prevent events like this won't happen again. 

I informed Kala Cree upon Miss Hensen's request. She appears to know the natives well since the council asked her to start a research about them in the previous months. I sent her the visual data streams and she recognized the man right away. She became worried by the events and, almost immediately, prepared to go in his search. She still didn't returned from the mission. I hope she's well. I'll need to talk with her when she had returned.

First Administrators Log - 53932.77

A lot has happened recently. Much of it leaves me in great concern for those around me. I am going to attempt to bring each one into clarity. Perhaps by doing so I will be better able to address each one in turn.

First, Lt Commander Dingo (@ltcmdrdingo) brought me a report two nights ago. This report indicated a small borg cube doing a systematic scan of this system. To confirm this we needed to get some close scans instead of conjecture. I asked Joe Sanders (@JoesephSanders )to handle that part. I am expecting a weekly report from him until he has something solid to go on. I will make sure to provide the council with those reports, however daunting they may become. The last thing we want is not to be prepared for the borg.

Beyond that, my personal assistant and the hospital administrator, Kala (@KalaCree) is dealing with quite a bit. Recently our colony grew, and after being here a year with only a couple of hundred other minds, I believe her empathic and telepathic control was significantly subverted by the rapid influx. She has been escaping to some kind of meditative state of mind, in a effort to block out the activity currently on the planet.  Joe (@JoesephSanders ) seems to think she's sharing this telepathic state with another significant telepath Lt. Cmdr Yatrell Rae (@ltcmdrrae). I don't know, the whole idea seems far fetched to me. I know they are about equal, maybe stronger than most. Certainly both are stronger than I am, but I'm not a natural, they are. I just hope that she is alright, and not getting caught up in something she can't handle. After talking to Lonn (@MULonn ) about Kala's situation we have agreed she is off duty, until further notice.

It appears our war ship may have a name soon.  This means it is nearly time to name my Captain for the ship. I think I already know but I don't want Jenna ( @MUJennaNigoya) to find out before the naming ceremony.

Tuvok ( @MUTuvok) is finalizing some smaller projects, I am still awaiting his full report but the basics seem to be in place. Our walls and turrets are up and running, and by his genius these walls are both strong and modestly mobile in places, should we need to expand the city. Expansion certainly seems possible with the situation as we see it right now. Chief Jones ( @Chief_Jones ) and our new engineer Xon ( @s_Xon) are coordinating the best options and building what they need to. I know their efforts will be appreciated.

On a personal note...I'm relieved that I have not had to deal with Xon ( @s_Xon) personally since his arrival yet. That will be very awkward. He is my only living target, from my past. It's hard to kill your husband, especially when you're a teenager yourself. No point dwelling in the past. Back to business.

Harry ( @Evil_Harry_Kim) is making arrangements for either he or Joe Sanders ( @JoesephSanders) to discuss trade agreements with a new species here. The Voyiean people seen to be very open and comparable to our technology, maybe even a bit more advanced in some area's. We are not finding many of those, as the more advanced they become the more interested the borg are in them. I am looking forward to his discussions. My only concern about it is he requested Kala ( @KalaCree) to handle the actual negotiations, and he or Joe would be her escort. The girl can't fire a weapon, and seems to avoid learning. If something were to go wrong, she would be a hazard not an asset.

Our huntress has been very happy with her new hover bike, so is Lonn ( @MULonn). He did a lot of research to find the right bike for VSrreen ( @VSrreen). It was intensive enough that on several days he tied up the whole relay network back to the alpha quadrant trying to find the correct design for the Catian body. If you could have seen his face when he found it. I'm not sure who was happier, him or Vsrreen. It is nice to have her back in the hunt again. I know she registered a new hunt coming up soon. I am sure her hunters will be looking forward to her return.

My dear friend Riker ( @MU_Riker) has proposed several new vehicles be designed for getting around the colony. He always has my endorsement, so I know he will develop and build the best designs to fit our way of life. He will be taking control of Voyager shortly to go on an exploration mission. He seems excited about that.

Busy day

Another busy day today, as I'm about to depart soon for the exploration mission, hope we won't run into Hirogens again.

The War Ship

I have much to post here, but I wanted to start with a poll. We just brought a War Ship to the colony. It is a lovely vessel, modified for our place in space, equipped with slipstream technology. Although we have worked very hard to remain hidden from the Alpha Quadrant Alliance we have encountered this part of the Delta Quadrant Alliance Hirogen. A few months ago they attacked at random, at the time we had no idea what or who we were dealing with. Later Harry Kim did some investigation and he brought me back enough information to prepare for their next attack, but then I had a brilliant idea, and with Harry's help we now have them searching for Lucius Zimmermen. It was after we encountered them the first time that I knew something had to change. I sent some information to the alpha quadrant contacts and they began work on our war ship. We later discovered we were near the Borg core. 


Well...now we're worried about the Hirogen and the Borg, as if that wasn't enough we find out they are in alliance with each other and one other race. We still don't know who that race is, but I know either Harry Kim or Joe Sanders will find out. They are both very good at what they do. We asked the war ship be modified according to plans I obtained from my contact with Seven of Nine in the other universe. Having a counter part that is or was a borg comes in handy when you need to defend against them. I am not looking forward to this, however, our war ship has demonstrated it's weight in power in our first encounter against them. Let's hope it's our last, but if it's not, we'll be ready.


To the point: We need to name this powerful Borg Prepared War Ship. I"d like your help. Several choices have been suggested by our council, however a fair and even vote could not be taken, so this is where we come to you. Please select the name below that so aptly fits such a strong empowered war ship. Once we determine then name I will be selecting it's Captain. No I'm not going to keep it. I have a ship designed for me already. Here are your choices:
